Description
Please note that during your stay the campground may look different this season. As a direct result of the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) and its negative impacts to the growth and health of Ash trees within the park, staff have had to cut down a large quantity of trees leaving a more open canopy. We have done this in an effort to keep all of our campers safe while reducing potential future damage to camper property and campsites themselves. We have also taken this opportunity to do site work, drainage work on sites, site pad maintenance and more. We understand that trees are a major component of the parks experience and are working diligently on restoration plans for new trees for future generations.
Hamlin Beach State Park's clear water, sandy beaches and 264 tent and trailer campsites bring thousands of visitors to the park each year. The Yanty Creek Marsh area at the east end of the park has a mile-long self-guided trail. In addition, there are 6 miles of hiking and biking trails, as well as snowmobile and cross-country skiing. Visitors can launch car-top boats, fish for salmon and trout and enjoy the picnic facilities.
PLEASE NOTE: A Halloween-themed event takes place each year on Columbus Day weekend. FIREWORKS in late June
